    The US enterprise data challenge

Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI delivered without the implementation risk

Most US organisations come to us for one of three reasons. An ageing on-premise SQL estate that needs to move to Azure. A fragmented BI environment where Power BI sits alongside legacy SSAS, SSIS, and a patchwork of Excel reports. Or a strategic decision to consolidate analytics, AI, and data engineering on a single Microsoft-aligned platform.

Whichever brought you here, the implementation is rarely the simple part. Fabric architecture decisions made early are hard to undo later. Workspace structure, OneLake organisation, and data residency in Azure East US or West US all need deliberate configuration upfront. Capacity sizing across F2, F4, and F8 SKUs has direct cost implications in USD. Azure migration from on-premise SQL Server needs careful sequencing to avoid broken downstream reports. Layering Copilot and custom AI tooling on top of all of that requires deep platform expertise.

Solv Systems delivers Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI engagements through flexible commercial models: fixed-bid, staff augmentation, or Data Insights as a Service. Each one is scoped against clear outcomes agreed upfront. We deliver fully remote, aligned to US time zones, with a team holding current Microsoft certifications across Fabric (DP-600, DP-700), Power BI (PL-300), and Azure data services (DP-203).

    How we engage

Three engagement models. You pick what suits your project.

Solv Systems works with US enterprises in three different ways. Same skills, same senior consultants, different commercial structures depending on how you want to consume them.

    Fixed-Bid Projects

Defined scope, fixed price, fixed timeline. Written SOW before you commit, milestone payments, predictable cost.

    • Scoping and SOW delivered before commitment
    • Phased deliverables with milestone payments
    • Predictable USD budget for finance teams
    • Two-week sprints with sprint reviews
    • Best for: discrete projects with clear outcomes
    • Typical timeline: 4 to 16 weeks
    MOST POPULAR

Data Insights as a Service (DIaaS)

    • Dedicated multi-disciplinary team: data engineering, BI, UX/UI, project management
    • Predictable monthly costs, no HR overhead or recruitment delays
    • Flexible monthly hours (80, 160, or 320) with scale-up or scale-down option
    • Monthly operational and quarterly strategic reviews built in
    • Best for: organisations wanting a complete data team without hiring risk
    • Typical commitment: 3, 6, or 12 months, with longer-term discounts

    Staff Augmentation

Embed our senior Microsoft consultants into your team for as long as you need them.

    • Day-rate or monthly retainer pricing
    • Direct integration with your Slack, Teams, or Jira
    • Specialist skills on demand: Fabric, Power BI, AI

Why US enterprises choose Solv Systems

Senior specialists. Remote-first. No hand-off to juniors.

    Remote-first, US time zone delivery

We deliver fully remote over Teams and async tooling. Our senior consultants align to US time zones — EST, CST, and PST — for real-time collaboration without scheduling friction. No offshore handoff delays.

    Governance-aligned by default

We configure Fabric, Power BI, and AI tooling to align with your compliance posture from day one. Whether that means data residency in Azure East US, sensitivity label governance, or information barrier configuration, we scope it in and document it.

Microsoft specialists across Fabric, Power BI, and AI

We have been delivering production Fabric workloads since general availability, configuring Microsoft Copilot at enterprise scale, and building custom AI integrations using Claude and the Anthropic API. Not generalist cloud work — deep Microsoft data platform specialisation.

Capacity sizing that respects USD budgets

Fabric, Copilot, and Azure services can compound quickly without careful planning. We model your expected workload, capacity, and AI consumption in USD before you commit, so costs do not surprise your finance team three months in.

    Senior consultants, not graduate ramp-up

Every engagement is led by a consultant with five or more years of Microsoft data platform experience. You will not pay senior rates for junior work, and you will not be introduced to a delivery team you have never met after signing.

Track record across industries and geographies

We have delivered Fabric, Power BI, and AI projects for clients in financial services, energy, professional services, retail, and agriculture across the US, UK, and beyond. Real businesses, with measurable outcomes you can verify on G2 and Clutch.

    How we work

    How an engagement runs

    Week 1

    Discovery

A 60-minute scoping call with your data and IT leadership. We map your current state, target outcomes, and constraints.

    Week 2

    Scope and SOW

We deliver a written scope with phased deliverables, effort estimates, and a fixed USD price. You get this in writing before you commit to anything.

    Weeks 3 to 12

    Delivery

Two-week sprints with sprint reviews, demos, and progressive deployment to your Fabric tenant. Your team is involved throughout so the platform is not a black box at handover.

    Post go-live

    Optional managed service

Ongoing capacity tuning, pipeline monitoring, AI tool maintenance, and new use case development. Genuinely optional. No lock-in, no minimum retainer.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and AI consulting in the United States.

Solv Systems works on fixed-price engagements rather than open-ended day rates, with discovery phases and full implementations quoted on a per-engagement basis in USD. Each phase is scoped in writing before commitment, so you know what you are getting and what it will cost before you sign.

All three. Fixed-bid projects suit discrete pieces of work with a clear scope and a predictable budget. Staff augmentation suits teams that need extra senior hands, often for several months. Data Insights as a Service (DIaaS) is our managed subscription model for organisations that want ongoing data and BI capability without rebuilding an internal team. Many clients start with fixed-bid for the initial project and shift to one of the other models afterwards.

DIaaS gives you a dedicated multi-disciplinary team covering data engineering, business intelligence, UX/UI development, and project management, all under one monthly agreement. Monthly hours are flexible (80, 160, or 320) with longer-term commitments earning discounts of up to 10%. Each engagement includes a Dedicated Account Manager, monthly operational reviews, and quarterly strategic reviews.

For most new BI and analytics workloads, Fabric is the strategic platform Microsoft is investing in. Synapse remains supported but is increasingly in maintenance mode. New greenfield projects should default to Fabric. Existing Synapse workloads should be assessed individually, since some migrations are straightforward and others require workload refactoring.

Yes. Microsoft Fabric supports data residency in Azure East US and West US regions. We configure your tenant and workspace settings to enforce regional boundaries from day one, and document your data residency posture as part of every engagement.

Yes. We configure Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365, Power BI Copilot, Fabric Copilot, and custom Copilot Studio agents for US businesses. Engagements typically include licensing strategy, data readiness, sensitivity label configuration, governance setup, and user enablement.

Yes. Where Microsoft Copilot does not meet a specific need, we build custom AI tooling using Claude and the Anthropic API. Common use cases include AI-assisted document generation, natural-language querying of Fabric semantic models, internal chat tools for proprietary data, and AI agents that integrate via MCP servers.

Yes. This is one of the most common engagements we run, particularly for mid-market organisations on ageing on-premise estates. The migration involves capacity selection, pipeline rebuilds, semantic model refactoring, and workspace consolidation. We typically deliver this as a 6 to 16 week phased migration depending on scope.

Yes. Skills transfer is built into every engagement. We also run dedicated Fabric, Power BI, and Copilot training programmes for internal data teams, available as a standalone offering delivered remotely.
