Every channel in a different tool, and reporting by export
The marketing team ran campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Bing, social PPC and Mailchimp, and measured them in Google Analytics and Search Console. Each platform had its own reports, so comparing channels meant exporting data from every tool and stitching it together by hand. It took hours each month, and past performance was hard to keep.
Automate the collection, then report on one model
We built a pipeline in Azure Databricks that pulls every platform on a schedule, combines the data in SQL Server and serves it to Power BI reports. Delivery ran on a capped time-and-materials basis with open timesheets, so the client could see exactly where the effort went.
Every platform through its API
Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Bing, social PPC, Google Analytics 4, Search Console and Mailchimp are read automatically, so nobody downloads a CSV again.
One marketing model
Databricks shapes each source into a common structure, so spend, clicks and conversions compare like for like across channels.
History kept
Past performance is stored, not overwritten, so the team can compare this campaign with last year's.
Reports staff open themselves
Power BI reports on Report Server give the team channel and campaign views without asking anyone for an extract.
Effort tracked openly
Time was capped at 42 days and logged in shared timesheets throughout, so the budget never moved without the client knowing.
Flexible by design
New platforms or measures slot into the same pipeline and model, so the reporting grows with the marketing mix.
Where the data lives and how it flows
Facebook and Instagram ad and social performance, including social PPC, through the Meta Marketing API
What changed
The marketing team now sees every channel in one place, refreshed automatically, and spends its time on what the numbers mean instead of collecting them.
Because history is kept and new sources slot straight in, the reporting grows with the marketing mix rather than being rebuilt for each new platform.
